Bayern Dragon Breathe

DSC_8251 They called this dark hefe, which made me think of dunkelweizen (which this in not quite either – seems to light). This is it’s own creation.

Appearance: Poured a cloudy brown with a medium white head. This brew is very cloudy even with a darkish color.

Aroma: Smells like, follow me here, green coffee beans. If you have ever smelled these, you would make the connection.

Taste and mouth: the smoke from a small hickory fire with a mixture butter and caramel. Lingering smoke aftertaste.

Overall: As a dunkelweizen, this is not in my top 10, but it is an enjoyable beverage worthy of tasting and enjoying.
