Bridgeport’s Hop Czar Imperial IPA holds court
Ваше здоровье! (To your health). The Hop Czar is holding his court with good Imperial India Pale Ale. The stately monarch approvingly gazes from the label as I pour the hoppy nectar into my tasting glass. The air fills with the aroma of Northwestern hops, and the scent only increases as the glass nears my lips. The first sip fills my mouth of soothing brew, and my mind delights in the flavors. But the Czar is a benevolent ruler dispenses his ample supplies of whole leaf hop cones into his brew. Bridgeport has created a very fine Imperial IPA with this Czar.

Hop Czar Imperial IPA Notes
Appearance: Translucent orange in color with a fluffy white head.
Aroma: Tons of Northwest hop aroma…resin, citrus, and some sour notes
Mouthfeel: A little too clean for an Imperial IPA. I was hoping for bit more heaviness or stickiness.
Taste: A brief glimmer of floral, and then followed by massive doses of resin and grapefruit. Rather typical flavor profile for a West Coast IPA.
Overall: Hop Czar is a very skillfully crafted Imperial IPA…it might have a chance of cracking my top 10.
